That the Arts Culture and Heritage
Advisory Committee approve the recommendation outlined in Report ACHAC12-005
dated April 12, 2012, of the Manager of Arts, Culture and Heritage as follows:
That the presentation by Brian Buchardt
of the City’s Planning Division be received for information.

That the Arts, Culture & Heritage
Advisory Committee approve the recommendations outlined in Report ACHAC12-006
dated April 12, 2012 of the Manager of Arts, Culture & Heritage as follows:
a) That the
Advisory Committee receives an update on the process and timetable for the
establishment of the Culture Council;
b) That the Advisory
Committee approves the format and activities proposed by the Ad Hoc Committee
for the Culture Council Open House scheduled for April 28, 2012.

ACHAC12-007

That the Arts, Culture & Heritage
Advisory Committee approve the recommendations outlined in Report ACHAC12-007
dated April 12, 2012 of the Manager of Arts, Culture & Heritage as follows:
a)
That
a report on Artsweek 2011 by the Chair of the Interim Committee be received for
discussion;
b) That ACHAC
approve the recommendations contained within the Artsweek 2011 report in
Appendix A;
c)
That
ACHAC confirm the appointment of one of its members as Chair to work with City
staff to develop a 2012 Committee of no more than seven members, including the
Chair, to be drawn from the community at large and members of ACHAC; and
d) That the 2012
Committee be authorized to implement the recommendations from the 2011
Committee Chair.
Committee at its meeting of April 12,
2012 made the following recommendation:
e) That Candace
Shaw be appointed as Chair to work with City staff to develop a 2012 Committee
of no more than seven members, including the Chair, to be drawn from the
community at large and members of ACHAC.

Other Business
Committee
discussed Culture Days and requested that this matter be placed on the agenda
at the May 10th meeting. The 2012 Culture Days are from September
28-30th.
Councillor
Pappas left the meeting at 8:58 p.m.
Committee
agreed to discuss at the October meeting, potential 2013 meeting dates/
locations to provide sufficient information for a staff report to be tabled at
the November 2012 meeting.
Committee
agreed, upon confirmation by staff, that the September meeting be held at the Silver
Bean Cafe, Millennium Park and that the November meeting be held at Hutchison House.
Staff was asked to place a consolidated ad in the newspaper to provide notice
for these off-site meetings.
Next Meeting
The
next scheduled meeting is May 10, 2012.
