Urban Forest Strategic Plan
Peter
Southall, Manager of Public Works, Special Projects and Paul Hambidge, Urban
Forestry Specialist, made a presentation to Committee.

Advisory Committee approve the recommendation outlined in Report ACHAC11-013
dated May 12, 2011 of the Manager of Arts, Culture & Heritage as follows:
That the presentation from the Manager of Public Works,
Major Projects be received for information.

Advisory Committee endorse the draft Urban Forest Strategic Plan in principle
and that adequate resources be allocated to support the Plan.

dated May 12, 2011 of the Manager of Arts, Culture & Heritage as follows:
That the presentation on Artsweek be
received for information.

Discussion occurred regarding the
membership of the Arts Week Sub-Committee. Kevin Arjoon, Deputy Clerk
recommended to reconfirm the membership of the Sub-Committee by motion, rather
than amending the minutes of the previous meeting.

That the approval of the ACHAC minutes
of April 12, 2011 be reopened.

That the ACHAC minutes of April 12,
2011 be amended to include the following wording under the Arts Week Sub-Committee
header in Other Business.
Members of ACHAC suggested that
Candace Shaw could be a good Sub-Committee Chair. Councillor Pappas, Candace
Shaw, Patti Shaughnessy and Laura Berazadi expressed interest in participating
on the Sub-Committee.
