Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee was called to order at 7:00 p.m. in
the Sutherland Room, City Hall.

Treasured Tree Hunt Program Update

That the PACAC approve the
recommendations outlined in Report PACAC12-020, dated May 8, 2012 of the
Heritage Resources Coordinator, as follows:
a)
That
the report provided by Vern Bastable, Heritage Tree Hunt Coordinator, be
received for information; and
b)
That
the PACAC maintain the $9000 contribution towards the program to be split over
two years instead of three, subject to the agreement to review.

Heritage Preservation Office Report

PACAC recommend to Council that the Dumble-Langton House property (File Z1204
554 Reid Street and 293 London Street) be designated as a property of cultural
or historical interest under the Ontario Heritage Act.

the Chair and Board member(s) meet with the representatives of Hospice
Peterborough regarding the proposed heritage designation for File Z1204 (554
Reid Street and 293 London Street) prior to holding discussions with senior
administrative staff.

file SPC-834 for Site Plan Approval (234-248 Hunter Street and 417 Hunter
Street):
That high design values and massing considerations for the
properties be consistent with current neighbourhood development.

Report PACAC12-021
Fall Home Tour Update

That the PACAC approve the
recommendations outlined in Report PACAC12-021, dated May 8, 2012 of the
Heritage Resources Coordinator, as follows:
a) That the report
on the Fall Home Tour be received for information; and
b) That the proceeds
from the tour, after costs, be donated to the Peterborough Historical Society
to help fund the installation of a new roof.

Other Business
Gord Young brought up the
issue of the Lee Cemetery and suggested that it be designated. It has been
registered as an inactive pioneer cemetery with the Province and the perimeter
is fenced.
Gord Young received the “J.
Hampden Burnham Award” from the Peterborough Historical Society for his work on
the memorial for the victims of the Quaker Oats fire.
