Minutes of a Meeting
of Arts, Culture & Heritage Advisory Committee Held on March 14, 2013, in the
Sutherland Room, City Hall
The meeting of the Arts, Culture &
Heritage Advisory Committee was called to order at 7:02 p.m. by John Summers,
Chair in the Sutherland Room, City Hall.

Kendra Sedgwick, Committee Coordinator
called for nominations for the position of Chair. Councillor Pappas nominated Dennis
Carter-Edwards who accepted the nomination. There being no further
nominations, Dennis Carter-Edwards was declared the Chair of ACHAC for the
remainder of 2013.
Nominations for the position of Vice
Chair will de deferred until the April ACHAC meeting.

the potential casino impact on local entertainment and culture by the Director

Delegation to address Council at their meeting of March 18, 2013 to present the
views of the Committee as outlined in the letter drafted by the Chair.

That the Arts, Culture and Heritage
Advisory Committee approve the recommendations outlined in Report ACHAC13-007
dated March 14, 2013, of the Manager of Arts, Culture and Heritage as follows:
a)
That
in 2013 the ACHAC meets at City Hall for its regularly scheduled meetings with
two exceptions; and,
b)
That
the ACHAC meets at the Peterborough Memorial Centre for its meeting on May 9,
2013; and,
c)
That
the ACHAC meets at the Canadian Canoe Museum for its meeting on October 10,
2013: and,
d)
That
this information be provided to the Clerk’s office for publication.

The Committee Coordinator advised that
two individuals from ACHAC are required for the 2012 Civic Awards Selection Committee.
Laurel Atkinson and Fynn Leitch volunteered to join the 2012 Civic Awards Selection
Committee.

sit on the 2012 Civic Award Selection Committee as representatives of ACHAC.
