meeting of the Waste Management Committee was called to order at 2:00 p.m. in
the City Board Room, City Hall.

Waste Management Facility - Update

Committee endorse the recommendations as outlined in Report WMC14-010 dated
September 8, 2014, of the Director of Utility Services as follows:
a)
That
Report WMC14-010 dated September 8, 2014 providing information on the Draft
Peterborough County/City Waste Management Facility 2015 Budget be received for
information; and
b)
That
staff report back on the matter of increasing the fee for contaminated soil in
2015.
At the meeting of September 8, 2014 the following was
added:
c)
That
staff report back with a business case to justify the expenditure for building a
re-use centre at the County/City Waste Management Facility.

endorse the recommendations as outlined in Report WMC14-011 dated September 8,
2014 of the Director of Utility Services as follows:
a)
That
Report WMC14-011 dated September 8, 2014 providing updated information on the
inspection of the Peterborough County/City Waste Management Facility undertaken
by a representative of the Technical Standards and Safety Authority be received
for information; and
b)
That
staff be requested to take all necessary steps to upgrade and refurbish the
Peterborough County/City Waste Management Facility flare as described in Report
WMC14-011.

Report WMC14-012 dated September 8, 2014 providing an update on the full cost
accounting analysis of the Peterborough County/City Waste Management Facility
be received for information; and
b)
That
staff report back to the Waste Management Committee as early as possible in
2015 on an updated Full Cost Accounting Analysis for the Peterborough
County/City Waste Management Facility.

September 8, 2014, of the Director of Utility Services as follows:
That
the Waste Management Committee provide direction to staff regarding the
proposal from the Peterborough Utilities Inc. to install two small 500 kW
ground mount solar projects on Peterborough County/City Waste Management
Facility lands.
