Minutes of a Meeting of Arts, Culture & Heritage Advisory Committee Held on February 10, 2011, in the Sutherland Room, City Hall

 

The meeting of the Arts, Culture & Heritage Advisory Committee was called to order by the Deputy City Clerk, at 7:10 p.m. in the Sutherland Room, City Hall.

The first order of business was the election of the Chair and the Vice Chair.

 

Moved by John Summers 

 

That Thomas Miller be appointed as the Chair of the Arts, Culture & Heritage Advisory Committee for 2011.

Thomas Miller assumed the Chair.

That Councillor Parnell be appointed as the Vice-Chair of the Arts, Culture & Heritage Advisory Committee for 2011.

Minutes – January 20, 2011

That the minutes of the Arts, Culture & Heritage Advisory Committee meeting held on January 20, 2011 be approved.

That the rules of order be suspended to change the order of the agenda, by dealing with item 4 prior to item 3.

Committee Orientation

         

Kevin Arjoon, Deputy City Clerk, made a presentation to Committee.

That Committee approve the recommendation outlined in Report CPCLKACHAC11-001, dated February 10, 2011, of the City Clerk, as follows:

 

That the presentation made by the Deputy City Clerk, with respect to committee orientation, be received for information.

Councillor Parnell requested that a copy of the Procedure By-law and the committee establishing By-law be forwarded to Committee.

That the Arts, Culture and Heritage Advisory Committee approve the recommendation outlined in Report ACHAC11-006 dated February 10, 2011 of the Heritage Resources Coordinator as follows:

 

That the Arts, Culture and Heritage Division report on municipal cultural planning be received for information.

Request for ACHAC Representation on the Civic Awards Screening Committee

That Emily Martin and Thomas Miller be appointed to the 2010 Civic Awards Screening Committee to represent the Arts, Culture & Heritage Advisory Committee.
