Minutes of a Meeting of the Peterborough Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee Held on September 4, 2014 in the Peterborough Room, City Hall.

 

The meeting of the Peterborough Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Stewart Hamilton, Chair in the Peterborough Room, City Hall.

Purchase of Heritage Designation Plaques

That the Peterborough Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee approve the recommendation outlined in Report PACAC14-025, dated September 4, 2014 of the Heritage Resources Coordinator, as follows:

 

That twelve (12) plaques be purchased from Riverside Brass and Aluminum Foundry Limited, of New Hamburg, Ontario at a total cost of $1,502.90, including freight and all applicable taxes.

Heritage Preservation Office Report

That the Peterborough Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee approve the recommendation outlined in Report PACAC14-024, dated September 4, 2014 of the Heritage Resources Coordinator, as follows:

 

That the report with respect to the monthly activities of the Heritage Preservation Office (HPO) for June through August, 2014 be received for information.

Formation of PACAC 40^th Anniversary Sub-Committee

That the Peterborough Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee approve the recommendation outlined in Report PACAC14-026, dated September 4, 2014 of the Heritage Resources Coordinator, as follows:

 

That a sub-committee of PACAC, including alumni, be struck to coordinate a special event to commemorate the 40^th Anniversary of the committee, and

 

That the following PACAC members agree to sit on the sub-committee:

-       Kaes Vanderkooy

-       Ivan Bateman

Report PACAC14-028

Creation of a Heritage Register

That the Peterborough Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee approve the recommendation outlined in Report PACAC14-028, dated September 4, 2014 of the Heritage Resources Coordinator, as follows:

 

That the update regarding the status of the Register of Eligible Properties be received for information.

Other Business

 

A discussion took place regarding the length of Committee member terms and how terms will be affected due to the October Municipal Election.

 

 

Next Meeting – The Chair indicated that the next meeting of the Committee is scheduled for October 2, 2014.
