install accessible pathways to some City playgrounds.

prioritization and placement of installing accessible pathways to playgrounds
be received for information; and
b)
That
the AAC provide input regarding the prioritization and placement of installing
accessible pathways to playgrounds at an upcoming meeting.

Following discussion the Committee requested
that the “AAC Accomplishments” section of the brochure include reference to the
2014 Municipal Election, Handi-van level of service, Provision of Sidewalks
Policy, Fire Code requirements for buildings with vulnerable occupancies and the
AODA training session for Councillors, Committees of Council and Special
Boards.

consider the installation of accessible washrooms at the Knights of Columbus
Park and at any other park location where portable washrooms are made
available.

provision of accessible beach routes at Rogers Cove and Beavermead; and
That the report be forwarded to the
Arenas, Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee requesting that they consider
making the City beaches accessible.
