Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee was called to order at 7:02 p.m.
in the Sutherland Room, City Hall.

dated September 13, 2011, of the Heritage Resources Coordinator as follows:
That the Committee
contribute funds to cover half the cost of the Turnbull Plaque for a total of
$621.09.

That the Peterborough Architectural
Conservation Advisory Committee approve the recommendations outlined in Report PACAC11-017
dated September 13, 2011, of the Heritage Resources Coordinator as follows:
a) That the presentation by Cathy
Dueck on the Treasured Tree Program be received for information.
b) That the PACAC provide a
letter of support for Green-Up’s Trillium application for the Treasured Tree
Program and;
c) That the PACAC consider
forming a partnership with the Green-Up’s Treasured Tree Program.
Committee, at its meeting of September
13, 2011 added the following motion:
d) That PACAC contribute up to
$3000 per year for three years toward Peterborough Green-Up’s Trillium
application for the Treasured Tree Program; the needs of the program to be
reviewed annually.

the Heritage Preservation Office report with respect to the monthly activities
of the Heritage Preservation Office for June, July and August 2011, be received
for information.

That the Peterborough Architectural
Conservation Advisory Committee approve the recommendation outlined in Report PACAC11-019
dated September 13, 2011, of the Heritage Resources Coordinator as follows:
That members of the
Committee assist with this year’s Doors Open event in the following ways:
a)
To
provide assistance at the Doors Open Peterborough launch on September 19th
2011 at 1:00 pm.
b)
That
the PACAC attend the media launch September 19th at 1:00 pm
c)
That
the PACAC provide assistance in transporting the site kits to the Peterborough
Memorial Centre restaurant September 19, 2011.
d)
That
the PACAC provide a volunteer to take over the Heroes and Rails Bike Tour
Sunday, September 25th, 2011. At 1:00 and 3:00 pm. Training will be
provided by Diane Robnik, contact information can be obtained from the Heritage
Preservation Office.

Gord Young enquired about
242 Hunter Street West.
Gord Young commented on the
research regarding the Hunter Street hotel.
Committee discussed assembling
the Designation Sub-Committee in the fall to bring recommendations forward to
PACAC.
Gord Young reported on the
Auburn research.
Geoffrey Eve commented on
the Advisory Committee appointments.
The Chair inquired about
the PACAC banner.
Catherine Dibben asked
about the Market Hall Annual General Meeting.
Katherine McLeod asked
about the on-line link to the City’s Cultural Mapping Survey.
Gord Young asked about the
construction on the south side of the Hunter Street Bridge.

The next meeting is
scheduled for October 12, 2011.
