on June 22, 2015, in the Doris Room, City Hall
The
meeting of the Waste Management Committee was called to order at 2:00 p.m. by
Councillor Pappas in the Doris Room, City Hall.

Report WMC15-006
Assessment of Alterative Daily Cover, Soil Balance and
Tipping Fee

That the Waste Management
Committee approve the recommendations as outlined in Report WMC15-006 dated June
22, 2015, of the Director of Utility Services as follows:
a)
That
conditional approval be given to increase the tipping fee for the contaminated
soil received at the Peterborough County/City Waste Management Facility from
$20/tonne to $40/tonne effective January 1, 2016; and
b)
That
notification of the increase in the fee charged for contaminated soil be
advertised indicating that the Waste Management Committee will consider this
matter for a final time at its meeting of September 14, 2015.

First Draft of the 2016 Budget for the Peterborough County/City
Waste Management Facility

Committee endorse the recommendations as outlined in Report WMC15-008 dated June
22, 2015, of the Director of Utility Services as follows:
a)
That
Report WMC15-008 date June 22, 2015 providing information on the first Draft of
the Peterborough County/City Waste Management Facility 2016 Budget and the
underlying assumptions made in the preparation of this draft budget be received
form information; and
b)
That
staff be requested to report further at the September meeting of the Waste
Management Committee with any proposed changes and/or updates to the Draft
Budget.

Increase in Tipping Fee for Drywall Received at the
County/City Waste Management Facility

Committee approve the recommendations as outlined in Report WMC15-007 dated June
22, 2015, of the Director of Utility Services as follows:
a)
That
conditional approval be given to increase the tipping fee for drywall received
at the Peterborough County/City Waste Management Facility from $45/tonne to
$90/tonne effective January 1, 2016; and
b)
That
notification of the increase in the fee charged for drywall be advertised
indicating that the Waste Management Committee will consider this matter for a
final time at its meeting of September 14, 2015.

Facility Construction Project

providing an update on the construction projects presently underway at the
Peterborough County/City Waste Management Facility be received for information.
