Minutes of a Meeting of Arenas, Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee Held on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 in the Sutherland Room, City Hall.

 

The Arenas, Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee meeting was called to order by Gary Rabjohn, Chair at 5:30 p.m. in the Sutherland Room, City Hall.

That the minutes of the meeting of the Arenas, Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee held on March 18, 2014 be approved.

Parks – Little Free Library Pilot Project

That the Arenas Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee approve the recommendations outlined in Report APRAC14-022 dated April 15, 2014, of the Supervisor – Parks and Forestry, as follows:

 

a)            That the presentation by Ms. Kady Denton be received for information; and

 

b)           That the pilot project establishing a “Little Free Library” at the Goose Pond Park (622 Water St. N.) as a pilot project be approved.

a)            That Report APRAC14-019 be received for information; and

 

b)           That any potential leads on non-city owned indoor facilities, suitable for the sport of horseshoe throwing during the winter months, be identified to Staff.

That the presentation on the Lily Lake Secondary Plan, by Brad Appleby, the City’s Planner, Subdivision Control and Special Projects be received for information.
