Minutes of a Special Committee of the Whole Meeting held on May 11, 2015, in the Doris Room and the Council Chambers, City Hall.

 

The meeting of Committee of the Whole was called to order at 5:00 p.m. in the Doris Room.

That Committee move into Closed Session to discuss three items under the Municipal Act, 2001 Section 239(2)(b) Personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees and one item under Section 239(e) Litigation or potential litigation, including matters before administrative tribunals, affecting the municipality or local board.

Appointment of Chief Administrative Officer

 

Disclosure of Pecuniary Interest

 

The Chair asked for disclosures of interest.

 

Councillor Baldwin declared an Interest in Report COU15-005 – Appointment of Chief Administrative Officer and Deputy Chief Administrative Officer, as he is related through marriage to the successful CAO candidate.

 

Moved by Mayor Bennett

 

That Council approve the recommendations outlined in Report COU15-006 dated May 11, 2015, of Mayor Daryl Bennett as follows:

                                                 

a)            That a By-law be passed to confirm the appointment of Allan Seabrooke as Chief Administrative Officer and Deputy Clerk effective June 8, 2015;

 

b)           That a By-law be passed to confirm the appointment of Wayne Jackson as Deputy Chief Administrative Officer effective June 8, 2015 until June 19, 2015.

That Council approve the recommendation outlined in Report CPCLK15-005 dated May 11, 2015, of the City Clerk, as follows:

 

That the following appointments be made to the Peterborough Housing Corporation, Board of Directors:

 

One (2) Year Term from January 1, 2015

to December 31, 2016 – new appointment                  Bev Matthews

 

Three (3) Year Term from April 1, 2015

to March 31, 2018 – reappointment                               Ken Smith

 – reappointment                               Linda Kehoe
