MINUTES OF A MEETING OF PLANNING COMMITTEE HELD ON MONDAY, DECEMBER 14, 2009, IN CITY HALL

 

Planning Committee was called to order at 5:52 p.m. in the General Committee Room.

Report PLPD09-073

Final Draft Letter Of Understanding between the City of Peterborough, the Township of Otonabee – South Monaghan and The County of Peterborough

 

Moved by Mayor Ayotte 

 

That Council approve the recommendations outlined in Report PLPD09-073 dated December 14, 2009, of the Director of Planning & Development Services, as follows:

 

a)            That Council endorse the Letter of Understanding, attached to Report PLPD09-073 as Appendix A, between the City of Peterborough, the Township of Otonabee-South Monaghan and the County of Peterborough respecting the transfer of the servicing allocation from the Coldsprings Settlement Area to the Donwood Settlement Area, and the annexation of the Coldsprings Settlement Area to the City of Peterborough.

 

b)        That the requisite Official Plan Amendment process to permit the transfer of services be initiated.

 

c)         That a by-law be passed to authorize the Mayor and Clerk to sign the Letter of Understanding on behalf of the City of Peterborough.

That the Question be Put.

Upon the motion by Mayor Ayotte, this motion carried.

That Planning Committee meeting be recessed, to be reconvened after the commencement of Council and the Ceremonial Presentation.

Planning Committee recessed at 6:28 p.m. and reconvened at 6:45 p.m. in the Council Chambers.

Official Plan and Rezoning Application

300 Milroy Street (No Frills) 

 

Moved by Councillor Hall

 

1.      That the report dated November 30, 2009 from the Director of Development Services, Report PLPD09-60A, Official Plan and Rezoning Application, 300 Milroy (No Frills) be received.

 

2.            That the Official Plan and Rezoning Application for 300 Milroy Street (No Frills) be approved;

 

3.            That city staff bring forward the necessary by-laws to a Council meeting  to January 2010.

 

4.         That the site plan be approved by Council.
