Report ACHAC21-012

It was noted that volunteer members are required for the juries selecting the garden displays and mural projects related to the Hunter Street pandemic recovery road planters/delineators. This project is being developed in collaboration with staff from Infrastructure, Transportation and Planning department. Kady Denton and Sarah McNeilly volunteered to evaluate the garden submissions, and Jeff Macklin and Justin Million will volunteer on the mural selection team.

Public Art Opportunities at Canadian Canoe Museum

Ms. Rennie, Manager of the Arts, Culture and Heritage Division advised ACHAC that Council will be considering the possibility of a new property tax class for arts and cultural facilities. Information on this matter will be provided to members.

Discussion was held regarding presentations for the May ACHAC meeting, and staff will extend an invitation to the 4th Line Theater to attend.
