That the applications for Official Plan
Amendment and Zoning By-Law amendment for 300 Milroy Drive be denied,
And that the application be
reconsidered if Loblaws intends to vacate the George Street, No Frills property
thereby releasing square footage for food stores.
Councillor
Farquharson withdrew the second part of the motion.
The

That the applications for

300 Milroy Drive be deferred until such time as the Chemong Secondary Plan is
presented to Planning Committee on November 30, 2009.

That the matter of the
property known as 300 Milroy Drive be referred to the November 30, 2009
Planning Committee Meeting for a full report from the Planning Division and
that Committee waive its procedures to permit delegations from interested
parties.

That the rules of order be
suspended (Article 16.15.2) to continue the meeting to 10:30 p.m.

The Chair was questioned
that a 2/3 vote would be required to vote on the motion on the floor. The
Chair ruled against the need for 2/3 vote. The Chair’s ruling was challenged.
The Chair called the vote on the challenge and the Chair was supported.

Councillor Peacock, this motion carried.
