meeting of the Public Library Board of Trustees was called to order at 7:00 p.m.
in the Library Training Room, 345 Aylmer Street North.

29, 2015 be approved.

the Peterborough Public Library Board of Trustees move into Closed Session to discuss one item under the Municipal
Act, 2001 Section 239(2)(c) A proposed or pending acquisition or disposition
of land by the municipality or local board.

Discussion Regarding the Municipal Relationship with the
Board
Eric
Prevost provided introductory comments on research he has undertaken on the
relationship between the Library and the City.

Doherty, Director of Community Services, provided the Board with the history of
the Library and the City.

the Library Manager/CEO prepare a report on the nature of relationships between
municipalities and libraries in Ontario; and,
That
the Director of Community Services provide information on the structure of the
relationship between the Peterborough Public Library Board of Trustees and the
City of Peterborough; and
That
this report come forward in the first quarter of 2016.

Library Services
Centre – Notice of Annual General Meeting
The
Library Manager/CEO advised that a staff member is attending the Library
Services Centre Annual General Meeting and an invitation was extended to Board
members.
Other Business
Ken
Doherty advised that performance appraisals are undertaken this time of year
and inquired which members of the Library Board would like to be part of the
review team for the Library Manager/CEO. Steven MacDonald, Teresa Kerr and
Paul Stern volunteered to be part of the process.
Next Meeting
The
Chair indicated that the next Board meeting will be held on November 24, 2015 in
the Library Board Room, 345 Aylmer Street North.
