Minutes of a Meeting of the Peterborough Architectural
Conservation Advisory Committee held on September 1, 2016 in the Sutherland
Room, City Hall.
The
meeting of the Peterborough Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee was
called to order at 7:11 p.m. by Stewart Hamilton, Chair in the Sutherland Room,
City Hall.

the PACAC approve the recommendations outlined in Report PACAC16-027, dated
September 1, 2016 of the Heritage Resources Coordinator, as follows:
a) That the PACAC
approve a budget of $2,000 for the coordination and publicity associated with
the 2017 Heritage Hunt;
b) That the PACAC approve the
expenditure of $325 for the installation of the street banner at London Street
for the last half of April, 2017 to promote the Heritage Hunt and Doors Open
2017.

Places of Faith Workshop

the PACAC approve the recommendations outlined in Report PACAC16-028, dated
September 1, 2016 of the Heritage Resources Coordinator, as follows:
a) That the PACAC
approve a budget of $5,000 toward the cost of hosting a Places of Faith
Workshop in February, 2017; and
b) That the PACAC strike a
sub-committee tasked with the organization of the Places of Faith Workshop.

September 1, 2016 of the Heritage Resources Coordinator, as follows:

the PACAC review the revised draft of the heritage section of the draft
Official Plan as put forward by its sub-committee and HPO staff;
b)
That
the Chair be directed to provide comment to the Planning Division based on the
review by the committee.

Office Report

the Peterborough Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee approve the
recommendation outlined in Report PACAC16-029, dated September 1, 2016 of the
Heritage Resources Coordinator, as follows:
a)
That
the report with respect to the activities of the Heritage Preservation Office
for June, July, and August, 2016 be received for information;
b)
That
the Chair send a letter to Ken Doherty, Director of Community Services, in
support of the capitol request for the PULSE Committee, and
c)
That
the Chair send a letter to planning regarding 464 George Street, indicating
that the Committee oppose any ground floor residential units on George Street.
d)
Chair
send letter to Planning regarding 745 Water Street, requesting that all
Heritage aspects be maintained in any upcoming construction. .
