The meeting of Peterborough Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Stewart Hamilton, Chair in the Sutherland Room, City Hall.

Report PACAC13-003

Heritage Preservation Office Report

That the PACAC approve the recommendation outlined in Report PACAC13-003, dated February 12, 2013 of the Heritage Resources Coordinator, as follows:

 

That the Heritage Preservation Office report with respect to the monthly activities of the Heritage Preservation Office for January 2013, be received for information.

Report PACAC13-004

Commemoration of Martha Kidd

 

Moved by Councillor Pappas

 

That the PACAC approve the recommendation outlined in Report PACAC13-004, dated February 12, 2013 of the Heritage Resources Coordinator, as follows:

 

That the PACAC create an ad-hoc committee of three members and the Chair to oversee the creation of the publication commemorating the contributions of Martha Kidd.

 

Committee, at its meeting of February 12^th made the following motion:

 

That Committee members Paul Lumsden and Ivan Bateman be appointed to the ad-hoc committee.

Heritage Resources Coordinator

Report PACAC13-005

Selection of New PACAC Graphics

 

Moved by Paul Lumsden

 

That the PACAC approve the recommendation outlined in Report PACAC13-005, dated February 12, 2013 of the Heritage Resources Coordinator, as follows:

 

That the PACAC select a preferred design for updated graphics to be used by the Committee on print material and other graphic design products as required.

Other Business

 

1.            Amending motion to Report PACAC13-002 of January 8, 2013

 

Moved by Catherine Dibben

 

That the PACAC fund activities for the planned 2013 Heritage Week to a maximum of $700.00.

2.            London Street Generating Station in Peterborough – Proposed Expansion Cultural Heritage Assessment

 

Erik Hanson provided Committee members with copies of the Cultural Heritage Assessment and asked that members review and provide comment back within the next week.

 

 

3.            Official Plan update

 

Committee members asked the PACAC chair to contact the Planning Department to see if PACAC’s comments regarding the Official Plan have been included in the update.  The Official Plan public meeting is scheduled for Monday, March 4, 2013.

 

 

Next Meeting – The next meeting is scheduled for March 12, 2013
