Request from Kawartha Village Co-operative Homes

That the Arenas, Parks and Recreation
Advisory Committee approve the recommendations outlined in Report APRAC13-018,
dated April 16, 2013, of the Director of Community Services, as follows:
a)
That
a presentation by Janine McDonald and Candida Clarke from Kawartha Village
Co-operative Homes be received for information.
b)
That
a one-time contribution of $25,000 from the Recreation Division’s Community
Assistance fund to assist with the construction of a playground at the Kawartha
Village Co-operative Homes be endorsed.

Transportation Demand Planner be received for information.

Correspondence
Letter from Trent University Regarding
Potential Partnership – New Official Size Baseball Diamonds
Staff will bring forward a report on potential
partnerships with Trent University to the May meeting.
Other Business
Discussion was held regarding the
funds received from the purchase of sponsorship banners at the soccer fields as
well as how frequently the flags at the Memorial Center are replaced.
The status of the Morrow Park
Grandstand was requested. Staff indicated that there was no update available
at this time.
Next Meeting
The next meeting of the Committee is
scheduled for May
28, 2013.
