That the issuance of Special Occasions
permits be supported for the following Sport Tournaments and Special Events
occurring on City property, in accordance with the Liquor Licence Act, and
the City of Peterborough Alcohol Management Policy:
i )
Slopitch
Association- Team Combat Tournament at Bowers Park on May 19 and 20, 2012;
ii )
Slopitch
Association – Slofest Slo-pitch Tournament at Morrow Park on June 30, 2012
and Bowers Park on June 30 and July 1, 2012;

Rugby Club – Various Events at Nicholls Oval Park – Dates to be announced;

dated February 28, 2012, of the Recreation Division Coordinator, as follows:
a) That the corporate
Off-Leash Dog Park Policy attached to this report as “Appendix A” be endorsed;
and
b) That Johnson
Park, located on Ashburnham Drive, be endorsed as the site of the City’s first
Off-Leash Dog Park.

Fraser, on the Recreation Division’s Summer Aquatics and Instructional Sports
programs, Promotions, and the Queen Alexandra Centre be received for
information.

Gary Baldwin and Committee discussed
the concept of a Public Square and the need for rectangular sport fields,
including a possible location at Kenner Collegiate Vocational Institute.

The next meeting of the Committee is
scheduled for March
