outlined in Report APRAC15-019 dated April 21, 2015, of the Recreation Division
Coordinator as follows:
a) That
Report APRAC15-019 be received for information; and
b) That the Arenas
Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee continues to support Staff’s ongoing
participation on the County-wide Municipal Access to Recreation Group.

recommendations outlined in Report APRAC15-021 dated April 21, 2015, of the
Recreation Division Coordinator, as follows:
a) That
report APRAC15-021 be received for information;
b) That Staff be
directed to undertake a process to determine the feasibility to develop 1497
Ireland drive as active parkland and establish the associated costs, once the
homes immediately east of the property have been constructed, and the top soil
and seeding of the site is completed.
c) That Staff
report back to APRAC following the process identified in recommendation (b) of
this report.

Report APRAC15-023
Northcrest Arena Facility Development Update
Ms.
Gallop, Manager of Facilities and Special Projects, provided a presentation on
the arena development project. A copy of report CSD15-004 – Arena Development
Update was distributed to Committee members. It was noted that the Arena Needs
Assessment Study is available at: http://www.peterborough.ca/Assets/City+Assets/Arenas/Documents/Final+Report.pdf?method=1

outlined in Report APRAC15-023 dated April 21, 2015, of the Manager of
Facilities and Special Projects, as follows:
That
a presentation by the Manager of Facilities and Special Projects be received as
an update on the development of a replacement facility for Northcrest Arena;
and
That
the staff recommendations in Committee of the Whole report CSD15-004 – Arena
Development Update, be supported in their entirety.

the construction of a children’s play structure in the southwest corner of
Wedgwood Park be approved as a Community Assistance project, in partnership
with the St. Teresa School Council.

that the Rotary Club is hoping to construct 25 mini free libraries in
celebration of their 25th anniversary, to be placed at various
locations around the City.
