The meeting of Museum & Archives Advisory Committee was called to order at 5:12 p.m. at the Museum, Fine Annex.

Peterborough Museum & Archives: “In the Spotlight”

 

The Museum Director introduced Joe Corrigan, Chair of the Tourism Advisory Committee for the Greater Peterborough Area Economic Development Corporation.  Mr. Corrigan provided an overview of issues surrounding the Trent-Severn Waterway and the potential impact on tourism.

That the Museum & Archives Advisory Committee approve the recommendation outlined in Report MAAC12-013 dated June 14, 2012 of the Museum Director, as follows:

 

That the presentation by the Peterborough & the Kawarthas Tourism Advisory Committee (TAC) Chair be received for information, and

 

That a letter supporting the position of the TAC Committee regarding the Trent-Severn Waterway be drafted.

MAAC congratulated Gayle McIntyre for receiving the Mervyn Ruggles Award for Excellence in Fine Art Conservation from the Canadian Association for the Conservation of Cultural Property.
