Referrals from County Council:

Bensfort Road Discussion and the possibility of it becoming a jointly-owned road, as it services the landfill

especially when they impact one another (for ex. Help Council better understand why decision made to increase levy to fund childcare expansions, rather than follow staff and KPMG audit recommendations to fund by getting out of the business of City-run daycares).

It was noted that the Landfill Site Liaison Committee received a delegation regarding the Bensfort Road Landfill and the methane gas
collection that does not always function properly. The malfunction creates a very strong odour and methane has is one of the largest producers of
GHCs. The Peterborough Region Liaison Committee should talk about what can and should be done about the current methane gas collection
at the landfill on Bensfort Road.

Be it resolved that County Council suggest the Peterborough Regional Liaison Committee talk about what can and should be done about the
current methane gas collection at the landfill on Bensfort Road.
