dated September 21, 2010, of the Recreation Division Coordinator, as follows:
a) That a
presentation by the Vice Chair of the 1998 Ontario Winter Games be received;
b) That staff be
directed to work with Kevin Duguay, Vice Chair, 1998 Ontario Winter Games
Organizing Committee, on the wording of a replacement 1998 Ontario Winter Games
sign at the Legacy Bowl to include the following phrase, “In Memory of Barry
Larock.”

presentation by representatives of the Pathway of Fame Facilitating Committee
be received;
b) That the proposed
design and installation of two granite markers to replace two existing Pathway
of Fame signs in Del Crary Park, with all costs to be covered by the Pathway of
Fame, be approved, subject to staff review of installation plans to ensure
long-term stability.

Peterborough Memorial Centre Suites Lease Strategy

Advisory Committee approve the recommendation outlined in Report APRAC10-027
dated September 21, 2010, of the Arena Division Manager, as follows:
That the proposed Peterborough
Memorial Centre Suite Lease Strategy be approved for implementation;
specifically as follows:
a) that the current
lease rates remain in effect but that the annual premium surcharge for leases
less than ten years be eliminated;
b) that Suite Lease
terms focus on four and seven year leases instead of the current ten year term;
c) that lease rates
shorter than a seven-year term be subject to annual Consumer Price Index (CPI)
increases;
d) that event ticket
minimum purchase requirements be eliminated as a lease obligation;
e) that the daily event rental
program be continued for vacant suites.

Communities in Bloom September Update

APRAC10-033 dated September 21, 2010, of the Director of Community Services, as
follows:
a) That the Minutes
of Meetings of June 25, August 4, 2010, and September 2, 2010, attached as
Appendix A, B, and C respectively, be received for information;
b) That the
Communities in Bloom Committee Mission Statement, Objectives, and Terms of
Reference, attached as Appendix D and E, be approved;
c) That Cauleen
Viscoff be appointed as Vice-Chair of the Communities in Bloom Committee;
d) That Barb
McIntosh and Lynn Cooper be appointed as Communities in Bloom Committee members
for a two year term starting in September 2010;
