Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee was called to order at 7:01 p.m. by

Report PACAC13-032

That the PACAC approve the
recommendation outlined in Report PACAC13-032, dated October 8, 2013 of the
Heritage Resources Coordinator, as follows:
That the PACAC finalize a statement
for submission to the Planning Division regarding the recommended alternative
proposed for the Parkway Corridor.

That pursuant to Section 2.6.1 of the
Provincial Policy Statement (2005), Jackson Park be designated as a Cultural
Heritage Landscape having significant cultural heritage value of interest to
the City of Peterborough based on the criteria of the Ontario Heritage Act as
an intentionally designed landscape, and evolved landscape and associative
landscape that embodies:
The intention of the will of Charlotte
Nichols that the lands be set aside for recreational use;
That the park has been in continued
use as a recreational area by the citizens of Peterborough for over a century;
That the environmental, ecological and
geographical landform significance of the park is an essential element of the
recreational experience; and
That the Chair of the PACAC be
directed to forward this motion under cover of a letter to Council for its
consideration of the preferred option recommended in the Parkway Corridor
Environmental Assessment.
