That Council approve the
recommendation outlined in Report PLPD15-006
dated February 9, 2015, of the Manager, Planning Division, as follows:
That the property at 1900 Lansdowne
Street West be rezoned from SP. 121 – “H” Special Commercial District to SP.
121 Special Commercial District in accordance with Exhibit “C” attached to
Report PLPD15-006.

Council approve the recommendations outlined in Report PLPD15-007 dated
February 9, 2015, of the Manager, Planning Division, as follows:
a)
That
Section 4.3.5 of the Official Plan be amended to add Section 4.3.5.8 Special
Provisions for the lands known as 1840-1866 Lansdowne Street West, to permit up
to one discount variety store with a maximum floor area of 950m2 in
accordance with the draft amendment attached as Exhibit “C” to Report
PLPD15-007;
b)
That
Section 3.9 Exceptions of Zoning By-law 1997-123 be amended by adding Exception
No. 297 to include one discount variety store with a maximum floor area of 950m2 as
a permitted use, in accordance with Exhibit ‘C’ attached to Report PLPD15-007;
and
c)
That
the subject property be rezoned from SP.121 – Special Commercial District to
SP.121-297 Special Commercial District in accordance with Exhibit ‘C’ attached
to Report PLPD15-007.

Proposed Amendments
to the Sign by-law for the Regulation of Electronic Signs
That
Council approve the recommendations outlined in Report PLPD15-005 dated
February 9, 2015, of the Manager, Planning Division, as follows:
a)
That
Chapter 624 (Sign By-law) of the City of Peterborough Municipal Code be
repealed and replaced with the Sign By-law amendment, attached as Exhibit ‘B’
to Report PLPD15-005.
b)
That
the revised Sign By-law be monitored over the course of 2015 and that a report
be prepared in 2016 to address the effectiveness of the new regulations and any
necessary modifications to the electronic sign regulations of the sign by-law.
c)
That
the timeframe for compliance with the general prohibitions
(section 7) shall be six months.

Accessibility Advisory Committee, with terms to expire November 30, 2018.

David Ronson and Diane Sargent be appointed to serve as members of the Arenas
Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee, with terms to expire November 30, 2018
and November 30, 2016 respectively.
c)

Steve Guerin and Kaes Vanderkooy be appointed to serve as members of the
Peterborough Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee, with terms to
expire November 30, 2018. That Jacqueline Irwin be appointed to serve as a
member of the Peterborough Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee, with
a term to expire November 30, 2016 and that Paul Lumsden, representing the
Peterborough Historical Society (PHS) be appointed for a term to expire
November 30, 2015.

Mauro DiCarlo, Steven MacDonald, Eric Prevost, Paul Stern, Leslie Woolcott,
Barb Connor (Friends of the Library representative) and Teresa Kerr (Library
Foundation Board representative) be appointed as members of the Peterborough
Public Library Board, with terms to expire November 30, 2018.

That
Garth Wedlock be appointed as a member of the Peterborough Police Services
Board with a term to expire November 30, 2015.

Bowling Club Loan
That Council approve the
recommendations outlined in Report CSD15-001 dated February 17, 2015, of the
Director of Community Services, as follows:
a) That the loan
for the Peterborough Lawn Bowling Club, approved by Council on April 26, 2011,
be extended six years from an original payment deadline of June 30, 2015 to
June 30, 2021, for the same terms and conditions, and
b) That staff
prepare an amending agreement to extend the loan term to June 30, 2021.

That Council
approve the recommendations outlined in Report COU15-003, dated February 23,
2015, of the Mayor, as follows:

That a Chief Administrative Officer Recruitment Selection
Committee be established, to work with the City’s Recruitment Firm of Record,
Odgers Berndtson, to recruit a Chief Administrative Officer, and the Committee
be comprised of the Mayor (Chair); Deputy Mayor and Budget Committee Chair,
Councillor Clarke; Deputy Mayor, Councillor McWilliams; Chair of the Committee
of the Whole, Councillor Beamer; and Chair of Planning Committee, Councillor
Parnell;
b)
And the Chief Administrative Officer Briefing Document, as appended to
Report COU15-003 as Appendix B, which sets out City background and
organizational structure, position mandate, long term goals, responsibilities,
qualifications / experience, skills and characteristics be approved and used
for this recruitment process.

That Council approve the
recommendations outlined in Report CPFS15-008 dated February 23, 2015, of the
Director of Corporate Services, as follows:
a)
That
a by-law be passed authorizing the Mayor and Clerk to sign the Ontario
Community Infrastructure Fund Application Based (OCIF- Application)
contribution agreement between Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Ontario as
represented by the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the City
of Peterborough; and
b)
That
the Riverside Drive Sanitary Reconstruction 2015 Capital Budget (Project
5-6.03) be amended as set out in Appendix A to Report CPFS15-008, to reflect
the OCIF – Application grant funds.
