Conservation Advisory Committee held on February 4, 2016 in the Sutherland Room,

The
meeting of the Peterborough Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee was

the motions approved in Report PACAC12-047 – Funding of Special Projects of
November 13, 2012, Report PACAC14-004 – Martha Kidd Commemoration January 15,
2014 and Report PACAC14-034 – Martha Kidd commemoration of October 2, 2014 as
attached as Appendix A, be rescinded;
b)
That
the existing committed funds of $10,150 be held pending the approval of a
suitable alternate tribute to Martha Kidd; and
c)
That
the ad-hoc Martha Kidd Commemoration Sub-committee (MKCSC) continue to explore
the possibility of coordinating the assembly and digitization of Martha’s
research for various community uses.

PACAC accepts in principle the design for the redevelopment of 475 George
Street North as issued by Atria Development Corporation for PACAC review on
January 7, 2016, understanding that the 1909 gymnasium and 1932 addition will
be demolished with the exception of the 1932 front entrance. It is the
expectation of the Committee that it will review final permit drawings prior to
issuance, for the purpose of approving the details of the final proposed
alterations to heritage attributes.
