Whereas the current hours of operation at the municipal landfill may not adequately meet the needs of residents and businesses; and


Whereas there have been inquiries and feedback from the community regarding the potential benefits of extended landfill hours, including improved accessibility and convenience;


Therefore be it resolved that staff be directed to prepare a report outlining the operational, financial, and environmental implications of extending the hours of operation at the municipal landfill;


And that the report include options for extended hours from Monday to Saturday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, potential staffing and cost impacts, and any anticipated changes in service levels or usage;


And that the report be presented to Council for consideration during the upcoming budget deliberations.
